Houlihan Lokey, a global investment bank, is inviting applications for CA Industrial Trainee positions within its Portfolio Valuations (PV) and Financial Due Diligence (FDD) teams in India. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on exposure in a dynamic global investment banking platform, working with highly talented professionals on complex, high-impact engagements.

Eligibility
- Pursuing Chartered Accountancy (IPCC Cleared – Both Groups).
- Completed 1 year of articleship, preferably with Big Fours or Independent Valuations experience.
- Strong analytical abilities and fluent in English (excellent verbal and written communication skills).
- Preferred: Excellent understanding of financial statements analysis, fundamental understanding of financial valuation theory, strong knowledge of Excel modeling and experience in building valuation models (DCF, Market approach and Option Models).
Responsibilities
Portfolio Valuations Team Responsibilities:
- Supporting valuation teams, which provide valuations of illiquid debt and equity securities held by hedge funds, private equity funds, and business development companies.
- Reviewing client investment memoranda, board of directors’ presentations, specific debt and equity agreements, and financial models.
- Compiling statistical summaries of companies’ financial information, developing and computing financial ratios.
- Identifying relevant comparable public companies and M&A transactions.
- Constructing and reviewing valuation analyses, including the guideline public companies, guideline precedent transactions, and discounted cash flow analyses.
- Researching and providing information on general economic conditions, industry trends, acquisitions, and divestitures.
- Participating in due diligence meetings, communicating with clients, and responding to auditor questions.
Financial Due Diligence – Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) Responsibilities & Deliverables:
- Support FDD team on buy-side and sell-side transaction advisory engagements.
- Summarizing and analyzing financial information (trial balances, income statements, balance sheets and cash flows).
- Reconciling information provided by management with the Audited financial information.
- Preparation of data books in accordance with firm and professional standards.
- Other ad-hoc pre-acquisition and post-acquisition due diligence and research support tasks.
