About the Job
EY is seeking a Staff – Advanced Analyst for its Strategy and Transactions (SaT) – Valuation, Modelling & Economics (VME) – Business Valuations team. This role supports business valuation engagements for clients across the MENA region.
Eligibility
CA / ACCA / CFA or MBA – Finance (preferably from a premier institute) with a strong academic background is required, along with 1 to 3 years of related work experience. Prior experience in a similar role at a Big 4 firm or with a top-tier venture capital, investment bank, or national accounting firm is essential. Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, a high degree of professionalism, reliability, adaptability, and commitment to deadlines are also key. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is a must. Travel for at least 50% of the time may be required.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include assisting in the preparation and development of valuation models for various purposes such as financial reporting, feasibility studies, and corporate transactions. The individual will independently lead discrete workstreams within valuation projects, including model development, data analysis, and documentation under supervision.
Close collaboration with onshore teams, serving as a key support resource for project execution and timely delivery, is expected. The role also involves contributing to client presentations and valuation reports, providing research support related to industry trends, comparable companies, and transaction multiples, and demonstrating a solid technical understanding of valuation principles. Leveraging tools and technologies to improve efficiency and maintaining high-quality deliverables are crucial.
