About the Articleship Opportunity

SJC is hiring CA Articles specifically for Direct Tax Litigation & Advisory. This role is designed for candidates who want deep, hands-on exposure to real litigation matters, covering strategy, analysis, and argument-building.

Responsibilities

• Search & Seizure Cases: Analysis of seized material, fund-flow statements, and drafting replies to investigation findings
• Litigation Support: Assistance in proceedings before CIT(A) and ITAT, including drafting submissions and representation support
• Legal Drafting & Research: Drafting written submissions and rejoinders; researching case laws, statutes, and CBDT circulars
• Core Direct Tax Exposure: Building strong foundations in tax law principles, evidentiary standards, and litigation defence strategies

Eligibility

• CA Articles with a strong interest in Direct Tax Litigation
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and inclination towards legal reasoning
• Candidates eager to research, learn, question, and participate in litigation strategy discussions
• Articles seeking litigation-centric exposure, not limited to compliance work
