Houlihan Lokey is hiring a CA Industrial Trainee for its Portfolio Valuation & Fund Advisory practice. This role offers hands-on exposure to valuation of illiquid debt and equity securities, working closely with experienced professionals on high-impact client engagements.

Portfolio Valuation & Fund Advisory practice

Eligibility

• CA students who have cleared both groups of CA Intermediate (IPCC)
• Preferably 1 year of articleship with a Big Four firm or prior valuation experience
• Knowledge of alternative investments is desirable
• Strong analytical, communication, and MS Excel modeling skills (DCF, market approaches)
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with a strong work ethic

Responsibilities

• Reviewing client documents such as investment memoranda, board presentations, and financial models
• Compiling financial summaries, ratios, and identifying comparable companies/transactions using S&P Capital IQ and Bloomberg
• Building and reviewing valuation analyses including Guideline Public Companies, Precedent Transactions, and DCF models
• Researching economic trends, industries, acquisitions, and security attributes
• Participating in due diligence, client discussions, and auditor communications
• Designing client deliverables and assisting with fee proposals
• Supporting ad-hoc research and analysis tasks
