About the Job

SGSS India is hiring a CA Industrial Trainee – Finance for its Mumbai office. This role offers hands-on exposure to financial accounting and tax management, working closely with finance, audit, and stakeholder teams in a global financial services environment.

Eligibility

• CA / MBA / CFA freshers or candidates in the final year of their course
• CA students eligible for Industrial Training as per ICAI guidelines
• Strong interest in finance, accounting, and taxation

Skills & Competencies Required

• Basic understanding of tax laws, IFRS, and management reporting/budgeting
• Strong sense of responsibility and commitment
• Team spirit with ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
• Good emotional intelligence and communication skills

Technical & Language Skills

• Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
• Strong English written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

Month-End Activities

• Assisting in month-end closing activities, including monitoring control accounts as per Local GAAP
• Reviewing balance sheet ledgers and suspense accounts

Year-End / Audit Activities

• Supporting preparation of financial statements for statutory audit
• Providing details and support to statutory and internal auditors

Accounting Migration Project

• Assisting in migration from Oracle to PSGL accounting systems

Other Responsibilities

• Coordinating with statutory and tax auditors and resolving audit queries
• Supporting stakeholders with required details for invoice processing
