About the Job
SGSS India is hiring a CA Industrial Trainee – Finance for its Mumbai office. This role offers hands-on exposure to financial accounting and tax management, working closely with finance, audit, and stakeholder teams in a global financial services environment.
Eligibility
- CA / MBA / CFA freshers or candidates in the final year of their course
- CA students eligible for Industrial Training as per ICAI guidelines
- Strong interest in finance, accounting, and taxation
Skills & Competencies Required
- Basic understanding of tax laws, IFRS, and management reporting/budgeting
- Strong sense of responsibility and commitment
- Team spirit with ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
- Good emotional intelligence and communication skills
Technical & Language Skills
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
- Strong English written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
Month-End Activities
- Assisting in month-end closing activities, including monitoring control accounts as per Local GAAP
- Reviewing balance sheet ledgers and suspense accounts
Year-End / Audit Activities
- Supporting preparation of financial statements for statutory audit
- Providing details and support to statutory and internal auditors
Accounting Migration Project
- Assisting in migration from Oracle to PSGL accounting systems
Other Responsibilities
- Coordinating with statutory and tax auditors and resolving audit queries
- Supporting stakeholders with required details for invoice processing
