About the Role

Morgan Stanley is hiring CA Industrial Trainees for its Fund Services Team in Bengaluru. This program offers hands-on experience in hedge fund accounting, NAV calculation, investor reporting and portfolio updates through Morgan Stanley’s proprietary systems (MSPA/MSPM).

Trainees will work closely with the Morgan Stanley Fund Services (MSFS) accounting team and gain exposure to global fund administration processes.

Eligibility

• Pursuing CA and eligible for Industrial Training
• Prior work experience in financial services (preferred)
• Accuracy, attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Ability to work under pressure, especially at month-end
• Comfortable working with virtual, cross-time-zone teams
• Ability to use financial systems and IT tool

Responsibilities

• Provide accounting solutions to hedge funds for valuation, transparency and regulatory compliance
• Daily NAV calculation
• Review MSPA-to-custodian reconciliations; identify breaks and post adjustments
• Perform Profit & Loss analysis, cash projections and FX transfer calculations
• Review general ledger exceptions and make corrections
• Validate income/expense journals and large P&L swings
• Process OTC derivatives and related cash movements
• Perform daily/monthly securities pricing analysis
• Validate and process corporate action data
• Provide audit support and assist in financial statement preparation
• Support compliance functions
• Work on month-end P&L allocation to investors
