About the Job

Eaton India is hiring Industrial Trainees (ICAI) to join its Internal Audit team at the Eaton Engineering Centre, Pune. This opportunity allows students to work in a global environment, contribute to international audit engagements, and gain hands-on exposure to audit methodologies and business process evaluations.

Students with prior experience in Internal Audit will be preferred. Articleship experience at a Big 4 or other top-tier firms will be an added advantage.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution.
• Pursuing Chartered Accountancy (ICAI) – Final year student.
• Eligible for industrial training as per ICAI regulations (9–12 months during the final year of articleship).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles (U.S. GAAP preferred).
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as Oracle and SAP.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office.
• Prior exposure to internal audit, manufacturing, or cost accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing audit approach, scoping, and scheduling.
• Conduct audits in assigned areas under supervision using risk-based methodologies.
• Evaluate internal controls, business processes, and procedures at Eaton operations.
• Participate in internal control testing and validations for key business processes globally.
• Prepare written audit findings and recommendations with identified root causes.
• Participate in opening and closing meetings with management.
• Maintain audit documentation and work papers accurately in Audit Board.
• Track issue status and ensure timely remediation.
• Work effectively in multicultural and multilingual environments.
• Support data analytics audit programs and external auditor coordination.
